#20 Sharks complete series sweep over Moccasins

Lakeland, Fla. - The #20 ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team completed the SSC series sweep over Florida Southern on Saturday afternoon at Chris Belloto Field. Brenna Lokeinsky and Abbey Moore sparked the late comeback for the Sharks' 7-6 win in extra innings for game one before a five-for-five performance from Brenna Lokeinsky helped propel NSU to the series sweep over Florida Southern with a 7-1 victory.

How it Happened

TOP 1st- The Sharks open up the Scoring with a Lauren Margolis single to drive home one to give NSU an early 1-0 lead.
TOP 1st- Abbey Moore and Samantha Dixon add on for NSU with singles of their own, along with a Maliyah Lawson bases loaded walk extending the Sharks' lead to 4-0.
TOP 4th- Cassidy Patterson drives home another Shark to extend the lead for NSU to 5-0.
BOT 4th- The Moccasins answered with four runs to cut the lead to 5-4.
BOT 5th- Florida Southern hit a Sacrifice Fly to tie the game up at 5.
BOT 6th- Florida Southern draws hit by pitch to take the lead, 6-5.
TOP 7th- Abbey Moore drives home the tying run to extend the game to extra innings at 6-6.
TOP 8th- Brenna Lokeinsky was able to drive home the game-winning run off a sacrifice bunt to take the series for the Sharks, 7-6 in 8 innings.

BOT 1st- The Moccasins tie the game to make it 1-1.
TOP 3rd- Maliyah Lawson drives in one off an infield single along with a Brianna Matthews bases-loaded walk to extend the NSU lead to 3-1.
TOP 5th- Cassidy Patterson drives a ball back up the middle to drive home another two runs to extend the Sharks' lead to 5-1.
TOP 7th- Brenna Lokeinsky and Lauren Margolis each drive home one more run off back-to-back singles to extend the NSU lead to 7-1, and that will give the Sharks an SSC Series Sweep.
